About Me
I'm a sound designer who has provided sound design and final mixes for numerous short films, both independent and student. As a sound designer, my goals are to elevate the listener’s experience through immersion. This is done with recording or choosing foley and backgrounds and effects, detailed sound editing and layering, and spatializing those sounds to create both an immersive and believable space, whether it be on-screen or through an audio-only format.
I have a strong passion for projects with strong narratives on the human condition, identity, and existentialism, particularly when stories have dark themes. With regards to genre, I am drawn towards science fiction, fantasy, and horror. Much of my sound design and engineering experience has been developed through working on numerous student and independent short films, many of which have gone through the film festival circuit.
Since attending The University of Edinburgh for the MSc Sound Design degree, I have grown an interest in other fields where sound design can be utilized, such as video games and sonic art. Currently, I am working to increase my sound engineering skills further past what I learned during my time in Edinburgh. This includes learning how to use Reaper and FMOD, and improving my skills with Wwise and Unity.
